You then apply to your local Motor Tax Office for your Learner Permit.
You will need the following:
Application Form
2 signed passport size photos
Theory Test Cert.
Eyesight Report
Fee
Medical report if applicable.
Evidence of identity may also be required.
When you get your Learner Permit you should book driving lessons with an RSA approved driving instructor to learn how to drive safely and competently.
As a rule of thumb you will need 11/2 to 2 hours of lessons for each year of your life. So, if you are a 17 year old you would need 25 lessons. That would be a minimum, no two pupils learn at the same rate. Remember, you must have your Learner Permit in your possession while driving.
